As the major media outlets continue to do a number on Reverend Wright and Trinity UCC, where are the press conferences defending Reverend Wright by other Christian pastors? Where is the left-hook of the Black Press?
Where is the NAACP and all the other "Black" organizations condemning these cheap tactics? Are we going to leave Reverend Wright hanging in this modern day lynching?
Many have voiced their differences, disagreements, and disapproval of Reverend Wright, but none can negate the essence of his ministry. Trinity Church has been churning out some of the most productive and insightful citizens of Black America for years.
Thinkers, doers, movers, shakers. The members of Trinity seem to possess a certain knowledge of self and scripture which grants them a confidence and peace not found in a lot of church goers. Good fruit could not fall from an evil tree. With their ministry under attack, we just shake our heads and say, "that's a shame."
Although the smear job of ABC and Fox is typical, it is still unfair and deserves a response. |
