DetroitRap.com To Hold Disaster Relief Fundraiser For the Victims Of Hurricane Katrina.

Detroit, MI - August 20th, 2005 -

In the wake of a mandatory evacuation of the city of New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina’s arrival, Detroitrap.com will be the host to a disaster relief fundraiser for the victims of the most ferocious hurricanes in United States History .

With an extremely large hip-hop presence online and throughout the Detroit Metropolitan area, DetroitRap.com will hold the fundraiser at the US-12 Bar in Wayne, Michigan, on Thursday, September 1st. The DetroitRap.com team feels that it is a necessary must to assist in providing relief efforts for such a disastrous event. Utilizing the massive number of visitors of the website, the team is using DetroitRap.com as the vehicle of a selfless method to give to those in this time of need.

The money raised from donations at the door will be donated directly to the American Red Cross Under the DR# that will be issued for this disaster. Along with all money donated on this evening , Detroitrap.com will also have a way for visitors of their site to donate via online directly to the American Red Cross.

This fundraiser will start at 8:00 pm 9/1/05 and will run until 2am . It is a 21 and over with proper ID. A minimum donation of $5.00 is required for entry, but guests are encouraged to donate as much as they can .

The Hurricane Relief event at Eastern Michigan University has been cancelled. The official benefit concert will be rescheduled with the details being announced in the following weeks.
