A CHALLENGE TO C_JAM and the ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Just be reading these different threads its evident there needs to be some dialogue going on between the artists and these clubs, entertainment companies and radio shows. All I see is people complaining but not offering anything meaningful. The reason artists arent as big or as popular as they could be is because they don't get REAL SUPPORT from the entertainment outlets just TOKEN support. DJS dont play local records even when people like them at the clubs amd on the radio. They treat a large part of the shows as JOKES. Threre are artist here in Windsor that have fanbases but I have not seen one company cater to them. I would like to see Needle or some C-jam host actually do a whole show dedicated to the local area not just T.dot and actually talk about the situation going on not just saying this scenes wack. A CHALLENGE ALL THE ARTISTS HERE TO HAVE A LIVE FORUM ON SOMEBODYS SHOW TO DISCUSS ALL THE PROBLEMS AND WHAT NOT. Yeah Needle I'm not refering to you in general because you do support all the artists. What I'm talking about is these clubs that don't play or support local music even though people like the music.AND these news articles about the "hip hop scene" and they dont give any light to all the artists who've been doing this for awhile. Not to diss raw camp or the mic lords but tye deserves alotta shine as does us "academy" you we've opened more doors than people realize. Aside from that Windsor has the potiental to blow almost as big or if not bigger than detroit does. Just by the fact that more people in the streets are willing to support the music and movement. All the entertainment media has to wake up and stop down playing artist like we aren't serious. Needle I know you being from detroit like me can see the diamond in the rough in windsor. All we have to do is polish it and give it that shine.

I'll tell you guys right now why you don't succeed. None of you stick together, stay dedicated, or support each other. The other thing you don't do is learn the business and how it works. Or any type of business for that matter. You cats keep doing the same thing over and over expecting the outcome to somehow come out different (see insane in the dictionary). You cats really need to sit down and learn, cut the monkey see monkey do thing. Your always 12 months back when you do that. Get ahead of the game.

Passin out CDs etc. doesn't cut it anymore...that's not even where money is even made in the business anymore. Everybody knows that. And if the town you're in isn't supporting, Bounce. Everybody knows Windsor doesn't really support the arts. It's not just hip hop, it's the mentality of the city. Working class!!! Go to Chatham, London, Toronto, Montreal. Anywhere. Just go.
But if you're wack don't say you're from Windsor. The rest if the country thinks bad enough of us.
