Wow! I was there that night but I obviously must have left before any of this madness went down, so whatever I’m about to say is strictly character judgment.

First and foremost, I’ve known Soliva for about eight years. Not once has he shown me any racial hatred. He’s opened HIS HOME to everyone; Black, White, Latino, Italian, Asian and so on. As a matter of fact, I hung out with him this past weekend…and I’m White!

Here’s a thought. Our most beloved TV characters like Fred Sanford, George Jefferson and James Evans threw out the word “Honkey” all the time. Did it stop us from watching or loving their shows? Dave Chappelle throws out every racial slur in the book and that shit is the funniest show on TV today!!! I’d like to hear one of you tell me you won’t watch any of those shows because of their racial content. How about rappers like Ludacris, Jay-Z, even “peaceful” rappers like Mos Def or Common? They’ve used racial slurs in their music.

So why is Soliva now being considered this huge racist? Believe me, NO ONE despises racism more than I do but let’s use some common sense here. It was a battle rap, that simple. Unless Soliva said he was going to become a Caucasian eatin’ cannibal, I ain’t buyin’ that he hates White people.

One thing though, I can’t stand unnecessary violence!! Put your retaliations down on paper rather than throw punches. No one needs to go to the hospital over this shit. ‘Nuff said!

Re: # of unfortunate events went down that night. after reading the posts from all sides it seems everyone agrees it was f***ed up. i was there that night to catch So-liva's set. i left before Richy got there. i know alcohol played a nasty role in this. i'm proud to hear 'Liva owned up but it blew my mind to hear everything about this racism bullshit. I KNOW THIS DUDE AIN'T RACIST! everyone is playing on this shit like its some rally to protest racism and lynch 'Liva. so just to let ya know, you got the wrong guy.
