Windsor Needs to Unite? Alright....

I'm not usually one to jump out there with this sorta stuff but i've been readin some of the threads that havve been posted lately, and dude said in the other thread that we need more action and less talk, saying we're gonna do something can only get all of us so far so i came up with an idea, i'm just throwin this up in the air and i invite u to criticize and add to what i have to say so here is my idea:

I'm thinkin that all the local heads in the city get together to work on a mixtape project. I'm not sayin get together with your camp and feature other artists on some tracks and release it under your name. I'm sayin lets get all the camps together, have like say each camp make two-three original songs specific to this mixtape and possibly a collaboration track featuring all the heads on the mixtape. And release it under the heading of windsor artists (just a simple example) instead of like dub city promotions, raw camp ect.. We could have Dj Needle, if he's up for it dj the cd or somethin, sorta like a kayslay mixtape. Then a name should be hunamously decided then if we want even design covers, backs, booklets and actually send it in to get pressed. Then i'm sayin we all chip in, rent out a club or hall and throw like a release party for the mixtape, have like each head/camp perform a song of their choice from the mixtape and w/e else ya'll want. And if people are willing to put the work in, we could possibly release a dvd along with the mixtape really showing the windsor underground scene and i'm sure with all the local heads around that the mixtape/dvd could get the proper promotion it needs, tracks could get spins on not only local stations but some over the border and stuff like that. So what i'm sayin is, if everybody always talks about windsor uniting lets actually do it, if u have any other suggestions and ideas throw em at us, but lets actually put windsor on the map isntead of just sayin that we are.

Well all i can say is that the idea sounds great...and i don't see why peeps won't jump on board for this...The big problem is getting spins in other markets when one...they've neva heard of windsor...and second...being a canadian rap artist is like being an invisable man...cause like other artists from here know...artists from new york to cali get mad exposure...And it's the unspoken word...cause rap artists in the united states don't want us in the game cause they know some of our most illist artist's would blaze some of theirs in a minute....But the idea is all good!!!...Peace

yo i think it shuld be taken one step atta time, first we gotta find enuff heads interested in the idea, if we can do that then we can all come together figure out what we gonna call it and what not, then we can plan out the tracks, intros, any extras aswell as if a dvd is going to be produced what will be on it and stuff like that, but first thing is first, finding enough kats interested in doing it, i'll be talkin to some kats about it and i'm sure u will too, we'll gather a list of all willing to participate, contact them, or maybe even have like a meeting at a specified place so we can really plan things out in depth, figure out who wants to do what, cuz i think that way we'd really be able to plan it out alot better face to face, in person you know....but we still gotta see what other emcees feel about it, if u want we should make a list of all whom are down, and then from there we can proceed.
