In 1992 J. Rocc, launched his vision of forming a DJ crew comprised of talented musicians, by introducing to the world Southern California's first turntable band - The Beat Junkies (w/ Melo D, Rhettmettic, DJ What!?, Curse, Babu, Shortkut, Mr. Choc). A prized accomplishment enthusiastically received by worldwide audiences, J. Rocc continues to invent musical styles that display his creative expertise. Highly recognized for his funky showcases and original arrangements, J. Rocc has clearly distinguished his place in music history.

An accomplished jazz drummer, hip-hop producer and Emcee, Karriem Riggins continues to showcase his multi-faceted talent. Drumming for accomplished Jazz musicians such as Donald Byrd, Roy Hargrove, Diana Krall and Oscar Peterson, to producing instrumentation for the likes of Common, The Roots, Slum Village, Erkyah Badu, Dwele and Talib Kweli, Karriem’s diversity has been exemplified through his work. In ’07 after collaborating on Madlib’s Yesterday’s New Quintet “Yesterday’s Universe” release, the two decided to produce two distinct projects that showcased both artists love of jazz and hip-hop. The first, Supreme Team, a rap and production duo who swaps verses over each others beats. The second, The Jahari Massamba Unit, a production team showcasing their jazz and instrumental arrangements. In addition to these two projects, Karriem is also working on his debut album.

Arguable the most popular member on the Stones Throw Imprint Madlib (Yesterday’s New Quintet, Quasimoto, Lootpack, Jaylib), has garnered worldwide fame and success as a rapper, producer and DJ. His unique dexterous and unique production style made him one of the most sought-after-producers in Hip Hop. With an expansive mind and great taste in music, Madlib’s sound transcends Hip Hop. A passionate crate digger, Madlib has experimented with a vast array of sounds and arrangements deeply rooted in soul and Jazz. Madlib has collaborated with some of Hip Hops greats including but not limited to: J Dilla, Talib Kweli, De La Soul, Mos Def, Ghostface Killah, MF Doom and many more.
