New york will eat u alive. Go visit make some moves but u wont survive too long out there. LA is cool if u know people. Whether people like to admit it or not the South is boomin. Not just music wize but the economy in general.
try ATL, HOUSTON, OR DALLAS even AUSTIN is insane.
i say go south. But keep true to your sound and rep where your from. |

| You know I agree with u. I just feel rap/hip-hop is moving away from the south...but there's so much unity....i love that..just in 2 years...i don't feel the south will be the main region anymore, but atl n htown interest me. Thats y I figured if I spent some time in another big city t could prepare me for the Ny |

| I agree with the South move.. but truth is..anywhere you go your competing with thousands of other rappers thinking the exact same thing you are thinking. LA .. I would not suggest going unless you REALLY know somebody. In Atlanta there's a lotta music showcases and a lot of music executives who live there. T-Dot..is like mini New York but the hip-hop scene there is really competitive and if you don't have good connects there..your basically starting from zero. New York are where most of the main offices for record companies are but....they receive THOUSANDS of demos and mp.3s daily and most of the A&Rs don't listen to demos unless they ask or solicit your music. You have to make your self known first or at least a blip on the radar first then you gotta IMPRESS somebody for them to co-sign you and your music then you gotta impress the staff of marketing and music directors, A&Rs and producers at whatever label that so' n so works at then you gotta show that your music can sell so you can be a PRIORITY at that label instead of being shelved..ask(Papoose, Saigon,Joe Budden,Eve,StatQuo,CoryGunz..just a small list). The reality is if you cant make a name or some connects where your at..to start off..then moving to big market areas like California, New York even down south( Nobody is gonna hook you up just because you can rhyme, cuz them dudes down there GRIND 24-7) is not really gonna change your situation. |

I'm going to keep suggesting this until someone picks up on it!!! Get your business right otherwise all of this lifetime effort your putting in will come back to bite you. Most of what I see you guys commenting on as your way forward has to do with how other artists succeeded in the past, although an understanding of the past is important it's the discipline and forward business direction that will make your effort "payoff". I do like what i'm hearing in regards to you guys reaching out to other communities and expanding your fan base. Good moves all around!
Ambassador word of the day...
Know your numbers! Where is the money going to come from, and better yet when it comes, where is it going? The sooner you know the answer to these questions the sooner your business will fly. Keep up the good work. Good luck! _________________ CEO Embassy Entertainment Group Inc |

| I don't plan on ever goin major all I really want is to have a nice fan base I can eat off...if I have 10000 fans who buy my music, I am eternally happy, Thats a lot of money independently. I could make enough money in 10 years to invest n be good 4 life. plus a job on the side don't hurt either. |

You right JD and that is a very good way to look at the business you plan to attract. 10,000 fans is a good number.
Question:How much money would you expect to generate from this group per year? _________________ CEO Embassy Entertainment Group Inc |

| I don't have exact figures, and im still not 100% on all the affecting factors, but I figure 2-3 mixtapes/albums a year independently(assuming my fan base supports and buys that amount) would generate enough revenue to live well enough ? |
